Some things are too meaningful to rush past.

A conversation on a front porch. A laugh around the campfire. A mountain adventure that gets retold for years. The quiet moments with family that somehow become the memories we treasure most.

The Front Porch Post is my way of preserving those moments—one beautifully printed story at a time. Each month, I'll invite you to slow down, settle in, and spend a little while in the Southern mountains with me.

  • Each Month You'll Receive...

One beautifully printed story delivered to your mailbox every month.

Stories inspired by life in the Southern mountains, everyday moments, family traditions, and the memories that stay with us.

A few quiet minutes each month to slow down, pour a cup of coffee, and enjoy an uninterrupted story.

A keepsake-quality publication you'll want to save, reread, and share with someone you love.

A monthly reminder that some of life's best moments happen when we slow down long enough to notice them.

Meet the Storyteller

For more than thirty years, I've been telling stories through photography, art, and writing.

Many of those stories began in the Southern mountains, where my family spent countless weekends exploring trails, gathering around campfires, and learning to appreciate the quiet moments that often become our favorite memories.

Somewhere along the way, I realized that what I loved most wasn't simply creating art—it was helping people slow down long enough to notice the beauty that's already around them.

The Front Porch Post grew out of that realization.

Each month, I share a story from the heart with the hope that it encourages you to pause, reflect, and enjoy a few peaceful minutes away from the noise of everyday life.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me with a camera in the mountains, sitting on my porch with a cup of coffee, or dreaming about my next visit to the Smokies.

"Entertaining"

Every month I look forward to the next story. I never know where it's going to take me, but I always know it will be entertaining, memorable, and leave me smiling.

"Love it!"

By the time I finish one of Teri's stories, I feel like I've spent a few peaceful minutes on a front porch with a good friend.

A few questions you may have...

Are these true stories?

Some are based on true experiences from my own life, while others are inspired by the people, places, and traditions that make the Southern mountains so special. Every story is written to capture the warmth, wonder, and timeless spirit of mountain living.
